Bosavern Community Farm
The Penwith Pagan Moot will gather to mark Lammas or
Lughnasadh; the reaping and resurrection of the spirit of the filed, a
celebration of the bounteous gifts of the Old Ones, and our own personal
harvests.
A working farm could not be a more appropriate venue for
this ritual, and so we will be returning to the wonderful Bosavern Community
Farm, near St Just.
Directions – coming west from Penzance on the A3071, turn
left just before St Just onto the B3306 (towards the airfield and Sennen) after
one bend the road goes downhill and the Farm is the first entrance you come to
on the left, and will be marked by streamers on poles. The entrance is cobbled;
go between the buildings and park in the yard, or go through the yard to park
in the field, and you will be directed from there.
Suitable colours if you wish to wear them for this ritual
would be reds and/or golds/yellows. Reasonable footwear is a good idea for the
field which is flat but slightly lumpy.
Please bring – 1) firewood, 2) £2 towards costs as usual, 3) food and drink to
share, 4) a rug to sit on, or a fold up
chair. 5) musical instruments, especially drums.
If the weather is too wet or windy, we will hold the
ritual inside the farm's beautiful circular mud house.
Everybody Welcome,
Blessings
Dave
